Learning from Photo Equation

You may read our lessons and use what you learn in your own photography, including paid client work. Learning from a lesson does not give us rights to the photos you take.

Our lessons share teaching, examples, and opinions. Your results depend on your choices, practice, tools, and the conditions when you take a photo. We do not promise a specific result, income, award, or publication.

Gear, software, prices, and outside links can change. Check current details with the maker or seller before you buy. Back up your original files before you test an edit or change your workflow.

Our content and your use

The writing, photos, videos, lessons, logos, and other materials on this site belong to Photo Equation or their respective owners. Copyright and other rights may protect them.

You may share a link to a lesson. You may also use material when the law permits it. For other uses, get written permission from the rights holder first. You may not copy and sell our lessons, post full copies elsewhere, remove credits, or present our work as your own.

A download may have its own license. That license explains how you may use that file.

Messages and photos you send

Send only material you have the right to share. Keep passwords, payment details, and other private information out of messages to us.

You keep your rights to photos and other work you send. Sending a photo does not give us permission to publish it or use it in an ad. We will ask before using it that way.
